Welcome to Theaterific

I decided to start this site to share and compile my thoughts, ideas, and insights about theater – it’s my passion and a very time consuming hobby. I’m a teacher, director, coach, creator, and eternal student. You can learn more about me and some of the services I can provide below.

A great place to start is the ARCHIVES. It’s a list of the over 50 different pieces that I’ve written covering a wide range of my theatrical interests, from directing and creating shows to my healthy obsession with Shakespeare to theater history to interviews with pros and interesting theater people.

You can also search by category in the sidebar to the right.

I’ve been involved in theater for the better part of 20 years. It was never my career, and even now, when people are actually paying me for it, I can’t say that 100% of what I do is paid work. It’s still, in many ways, my passion project. I hope you find some value in what I have to say and use this site, in part, as a learning tool.

New pieces are added whenever I find the inspiration (or time, realistically) to write and post something new. There is a lot of information in there already, so it should take a while to get through it all (even if some of it is a couple of years old. The info is still legit). You will also find a (very incomplete) list of resources (mostly books – I have a sizable library of theater books) and press clippings about me.

Finally, if you need some more help creating a show from scratch, or if you’re directing for the first time, I am for-hire as a consultant. I can help make the process smooth, and hopefully teach you something along the way. In person or electronic. You can get in touch with meΒ HERE.

Enjoy.

Praise for Theaterific

Thank you for the theatre program template! I did a lot of web-searching trying to find something simple and classy. The one I found on theaterific was awesome.

Hi, I’m glad for your web page…Thank you so much for this has been a blessing to me to have found your web page…THEATERIFIC.

Thanks for the interview πŸ™‚ I got super happy and excited when I read the post. Again, thanks for all the help! πŸ™‚ As I told a good friend of mine earlier today; you really seem to have a genuine passion for theater. And that is so amazing, I love it when people are passionate about their work. I don’t know much about your theater work, but I doubt anyone would help out as much as you have, if they weren’t passionate.

I wanted to say thanks for putting together your web site’s Resources page…The page has been very helpful.

Just wanted to say thanks for putting this together. I found some great resources on there that I hadn’t seen elsewhere.
